The Catcher in The Rye.

The main character Holden in the Catcher in The Rye is very unique. He seems like he's the type of character that doesn't care about what others think of him. He likes being how he is and he wont change. Even though Holden seems like that, he still treats people with respect and sort of knows his boundries with certain people.
Holden has been to many schools and yet still has been kicked out of each and every single one, now i know thats bad, but maybe he's done so horribly in these schools because it doesn't really fit the kinda person Holden wants to be? He talks so badly about Pencey (the last school he's gone to) because it is supposed to turn boys into fine gentlemen and thats not the type of things guys want to do, Holden for example thinks that, that is a "load of crap" and is very liberated and likes to do what he wants to do.
These are just some examples of how my main character Holden is, and i will write more about him as i read deeper into my book The Catcher in The Rye.

  1. I read Catcher in the Rye a few years ago. My observations when reading it were similar to the ones in your blog post. I really liked the book and I like your blog.
